YBhg. Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria (born in 1966) is a public figure in Malaysia and he was conferred the award of ‘Darjah Kebesaran Seri Mahkota Wilayah (SMW)’ which carries the title of ‘Datuk Seri’ by HRH King of Malaysia (Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Almu’tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku AlHaj Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Ibni AlMarhum Sultan Badlishah) in conjunction with Federal Territory Day on 1 February 2015.〔 (Peguam Negara Dahului Senarai Penerima Darjah Kebesaran Hari Wilayah Persekutuan 2015. )〕
Datuk Seri Norza is currently the Deputy-President of Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and the President of the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Association (KLBA), which has propelled Malaysia to the world stage of badminton, having produced Olympic and World-Class Champions such as Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong.
Elected in August 2015 as the Deputy President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM), Datuk Seri Norza was also appointed by the OCM as the chef-de-mission (CDM) of Malaysia for the 28th SEA Games, Singapore 2015 which was held from 5–16 June 2015.
Datuk Seri Norza is also the Chairman of the National Sports Institute (Institut Sukan Negara), Treasurer for the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Exco Member for the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) and Council Member for the Federal Territories Sports Council (MSWP).
With his passion and enthusiasm for the game of Polo, Datuk Seri Norza is also the President of the Putra Polo Club.
==Early Life & Educational Background==
Datuk Seri Norza is the son of schoolteachers and was born in Malacca and grew up in Negeri Sembilan. After his studies in Sekolah Tuanku Jaafar in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, he received his Higher School of Certificate from the Randwick Boys High School in Australia in 1985.
A Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) by profession, Datuk Seri Norza studied and received his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Wollongong in Australia from 1986 to 1988.
In 2008, Datuk Seri Norza qualified as a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) from CPA Australia Ltd.
